Fox Chase Cancer Center announced on April 21 that 144 of its physicians have been named to Philadelphia magazine’s “Top Doctors” list for 2026. The physicians were selected based on nominations from a national survey of their professional peers.

The recognition highlights the reputation and expertise of Fox Chase Cancer Center within the medical community. The inclusion of so many physicians reflects the center’s role in providing specialized cancer care.

“Each year, Philadelphia magazine’s Top Doctors list highlights the high-quality care and expertise Fox Chase physicians provide to their patients. The recognition of so many by such a Philadelphia institution emphasizes the fact that we truly are Philadelphia’s cancer center,” said Dr. Robert Uzzo, President and CEO of Fox Chase Cancer Center.

Uzzo also said, “The Top Doctors designation is especially meaningful because it is based on peer nominations. It reflects the high regard our physicians have earned for their expertise, career accomplishments, and commitment to innovation.”

Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Fox Chase Cancer Center was founded in 1904. Its current president is Dr. Robert Uzzo. The hospital serves as a training facility and reported conducting 5,069 surgeries and admitting 3,488 patients for treatment during calendar year 2022 according to their annual report.

The announcement may further enhance the profile of Fox Chase Cancer Center among patients seeking specialized oncology care in the region.
