Abhi Rastogi has been named as the next President and Chief Executive Officer of Temple Health, according to an announcement by Temple University President John Fry. Rastogi will take over the position on January 2, 2026, following the retirement of Michael A. Young. The transition is described as part of a long-planned succession.

Rastogi, who holds degrees from Temple’s Fox School of Business, has worked with Temple Health for more than two decades. He will also continue in his role leading Temple University Hospital while serving as CEO of Temple Health.

“Chief Healthcare Executive reported Temple University President John Fry’s announcement that Abhi Rastogi, MBA, MIS will succeed Michael A. Young, MHA, FACHE as the next President and Chief Executive Officer of Temple Health on January 2, 2026, upon Young’s retirement. This announcement, part of a long-planned succession transition, marks the culmination of Young’s distinguished and impactful career. An alumnus of Temple’s Fox School of Business, Rastogi has spent more than 20 years with Temple Health, and will continue to lead Temple University Hospital while serving as CEO of Temple Health.”

Labor & Delivery services have recently moved from the main campus at Broad & Ontario to a new women & families hospital.
