Congressman Dwight Evans, who represents Pennsylvania’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of messages on his official social media account addressing economic concerns and commemorating Women’s Equality Day.
On August 26, 2025, Evans criticized former President Donald Trump’s handling of the economy. In his post, he stated: “Trump’s flailing continues to raise prices and gamble with your hard-earned retirement savings, as he tries to blame others for his own economic failures after more than 7 months in office.”
Later that same day, Evans recognized Women’s Equality Day by honoring those who fought for women’s suffrage and ongoing gender equality efforts. He wrote: “This Women’s Equality Day, we honor and celebrate the trailblazers who fought for the 19th Amendment and continued fighting to break down barriers at the ballot box. Today and every day, let us continue their fight for true gender equality in every area of life.”
On August 27, 2025, Evans shared a brief message encouraging further engagement: “Learn more at https://t.co/5Hxw0nuGHj”.

Born in Philadelphia in 1954, he continues to reside there. Evans is an alumnus of La Salle University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975.
