Congressman Dwight Evans, who represents Pennsylvania’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on September 4, 2025, addressing health care policy and recent legislative actions.

In a post at 20:30 UTC, Evans stated, “These should be health care decisions made between you and your doctor- not Donald Trump or RFK. Thank you, Governor Shapiro, for your swift action to protect Pennsylvanians’ access to vaccines!” The congressman’s remarks referenced ongoing debates over vaccine access and the role of political figures in personal medical decisions.

Later that evening at 21:14 UTC, Evans addressed concerns about rising health insurance costs for Pennsylvanians using the state exchange or related platforms. He wrote, “If you get health coverage through Pennie or https://t.co/ZJ4ZDFxLzx, you’re facing a massive price hike – and the GOP majorities in Congress are just sitting on their hands. They rushed to pass a tax cut for the rich, but they’re stalling on this. I & my Democratic colleagues https://t.co/C8eAmaMISD”

Evans also shared support for Philadelphia’s football team with a brief message at 22:09 UTC: “#FlyEaglesFly https://t.co/LJLOsGEw0V”

Dwight Evans has served as the U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania’s 3rd District since 2016 after replacing Chaka Fattah. Prior to his congressional tenure, he was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1981 to 2016. Born in Philadelphia in 1954 and currently residing there, Evans graduated from La Salle University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975.
