Congressman Dwight Evans, who represents Pennsylvania’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, addressed a range of issues in a series of posts on December 1 and 2, 2025. His messages focused on World AIDS Day and concerns about rising costs for working Americans.
On December 1, Evans marked World AIDS Day with a call to action: “On this #WorldAIDSDay, let’s recommit ourselves to finishing the fight against the HIV/AIDS epidemic. As we honor the countless lives we have lost, let us continue to invest in and bolster access to health care, education, and research for ALL.” He followed up by sharing resources for Philadelphia residents: “For more about HIV/AIDS prevention, how to get tested in #Philly, and treatment services available, visit https://t.co/29MMMpIHQ5”
The next day, Evans commented on economic pressures facing working Americans: “Working Americans are struggling to make ends meet as prices across the board just keep going up. And what’s Trump’s response? https://t.co/6GgqDV0b5P”
Evans has served as a member of Congress since 2016 after replacing Chaka Fattah. Prior to his time in Congress, he represented Philadelphia in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1981 to 2016. Born in Philadelphia in 1954 and currently residing there, Evans graduated from La Salle University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975.
