Congressman Dwight Evans, who represents Pennsylvania’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to comment on state legislative activity, economic issues, and national political controversies.
On August 10, 2025, Evans expressed support for Pennsylvania House Democrats and called on Senate Republicans to address public transit funding. He wrote, “I applaud @PaHouseDems for being in session today & tomorrow and I urge PA Senate Republicans to get serious about funding transit for all of PA – now.”
The following morning, August 11, Evans drew attention to rising consumer prices by posting, “When your morning coffee costs more, here’s why “.
Later that day, he referenced ongoing discussion around the release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein and former President Donald Trump. On August 11 he posted: “Another distraction from the Epstein files Trump promised to release?”
Evans has served in Congress since 2016 after succeeding Chaka Fattah. Prior to his tenure in Washington D.C., he was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1981 until 2016. Born in Philadelphia in 1954 and currently residing there, Evans graduated from La Salle University with a bachelor’s degree in 1975.
