Congressman Dwight Evans, who represents Pennsylvania’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on July 15, 2025, criticizing Congressional Republicans and recent legislative actions.

In a tweet published at 15:20 UTC, Evans stated: “First Signalgate. Now the Epstein Files. Congressional Republicans once again are choosing to protect a morally corrupt and crooked President and his administration, rather than serving the American people.”

Later that day at 20:21 UTC, he commented on Medicaid cuts and Senator Hawley’s voting record: “Tells you just how bad their #ReverseRobinHood law is… Senator Hawley voted FOR these Medicaid cuts less than two weeks ago!”

At 21:15 UTC, Evans addressed income disparities under a new budget proposal associated with former President Trump and Congressional Republicans: “What would you do with an extra $847 a day? Or an extra $5,942 a week? That what the top 0.1% stands to gain thanks to Trump & Congressional Republicans’ new budget. All the while, working families making less than $50,000 a year will only receive an average of $247 A YEAR.”

Evans has represented Pennsylvania’s 3rd district since replacing Chaka Fattah in 2016. Before joining Congress, he served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1981 to 2016. Born in Philadelphia in 1954 and currently residing there, Evans graduated from La Salle University with a BA in 1975.
