Congressman Dwight Evans, who represents Pennsylvania’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of tweets addressing pressing issues. Evans has been serving since 2016 after succeeding Chaka Fattah and previously held a long tenure in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

On May 21, 2025, Congressman Evans posted a brief mention on Twitter, tagging @PoliticsPA.

In another tweet on May 21, 2025, he expressed concern over economic disparities highlighted by recent events. He stated that “Donald Trump gets a $400 MILLION luxury jet from a foreign government.” He criticized the potential impact on Americans’ healthcare coverage: “Millions of regular Americans stand to lose their #Medicaid health coverage so Trump & other millionaires can get ANOTHER tax cut.” Evans emphasized that “Democrats in Congress will keep fighting against that agenda!”

The following day, on May 22, 2025, Congressman Evans reacted to a violent incident involving embassy staffers. He wrote “I’m horrified by the murder of two Israeli Embassy staffers outside a Jewish museum in Washington.” and expressed his solidarity with affected communities by stating: “I stand against antisemitism – and with the Jewish community in Philadelphia and nationwide.”

Dwight Evans was born in Philadelphia in 1954 and holds a BA from La Salle University. He continues to reside in Philadelphia while serving as an active member of Congress.
