Congressman Dwight Evans, who represents Pennsylvania’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of tweets highlighting constituent services and commenting on national political issues.
On July 22, 2025, Evans announced efforts to bring congressional assistance directly to his constituents: “If you need help with a federal agency, this summer Congress comes to you – starting Monday in Roxborough, then Cobbs Creek & South Philly the following week, among 8 total locations! The following day, on July 23, 2025, he posted a brief tweet containing only an emoji and a link: ” https://t.co/hfwtspRESc”.
Later that same day, Evans addressed ongoing debates regarding former President Donald Trump and the release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein. He wrote: “This has always been Trump covering up for Trump. @HouseDemocrats will keep pressing for release of the Epstein files – House Republicans should stop protecting Trump! https://t.co/FPDWPVCHhw”.
Evans has represented Pennsylvania’s 3rd District since replacing Chaka Fattah in 2016. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1981 until his election to Congress.
He was born in Philadelphia in 1954 and continues to reside there. Evans graduated from La Salle University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975.
