In one tweet, Evans emphasized the importance of listening to healthcare professionals by stating “When nurses say ‘Don’t cut Medicaid’ – I LISTEN, and Congressional Republicans should too!” He mentioned meeting with Pennsylvania nurses from the American Nurses Association to discuss how the GOP’s budget could negatively affect their patients and local hospitals.

Evans also took to Twitter with a post featuring the hashtag #TACOTuesday, expressing his view on legislative dynamics. He noted that “Just 3 House Republicans could stop this bill & demand changes.” This tweet highlighted his call for action among lawmakers.

Dwight Evans was born in Philadelphia in 1954 and currently resides there. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1981 until 2016. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from La Salle University.
