He stated that it would strip healthcare from 17 million Americans and lead to hospital and nursing home closures nationwide while providing trillions in tax cuts for billionaires. Dwight Evans has been serving in Congress since replacing Chaka Fattah in 2016 and previously held office in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1981 until his congressional tenure began. Born in Philadelphia in 1954, Evans graduated from La Salle University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975.
