Dr. Holly Greenwald has been recognized with the November 2025 TFP Kudos Award for her contributions to Temple Faculty Physicians and the field of gastroenterology.

Greenwald, who serves as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Section of Gastroenterology, was nominated by Adam Ehrlich, MD, MPH, Medicine Section Chief of Gastroenterology. In his nomination, Ehrlich highlighted Greenwald’s involvement in medical education as Associate Program Director of the Gastroenterology Fellowship and her support for the Internal Medicine residency program.

Ehrlich stated: “Dr. Greenwald is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Section of Gastroenterology who is also intimately involved in medical education as the Associate Program Director of the Gastroenterology Fellowship, in addition to assisting with the Internal Medicine residency. She maintains a referral practice for the management of a challenging group of GI patients: those with disorders of gut-brain interaction. She is working on a number of QI initiatives within the GI section.

Recently, she has spearheaded a pilot program within Temple’s School of Social Work to have a Social Work student in the GI clinic to help patients navigate the healthcare system. She is hoping to expand this to opportunities for dietician services for our patients.”

The award recognizes Greenwald’s leadership and commitment to improving patient care through educational programs and new clinical initiatives.
