The Philadelphia Eagles have elevated outside linebacker Patrick Johnson and safety Andre’ Sam from the practice squad for their upcoming game against the Chicago Bears on Black Friday.

Patrick Johnson has appeared in eight games this season, recording three tackles and his first career sack. He was initially elevated from the practice squad for the season opener against Dallas before being signed to the active roster. After being released on November 4, he rejoined the practice squad and was later elevated for a Monday night win over the Packers.

Andre’ Sam, who joined the Eagles as a rookie free agent out of LSU in 2024, has spent this season on the team’s practice squad. Last season, he was elevated for a game against Carolina where he made a tackle on special teams. Sam’s elevation comes after safety Andrew Mukuba was placed on Injured Reserve due to injury. The team will start Reed Blankenship and Sydney Brown at safety, with Michael Carter II available to provide additional depth.
