The Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Chicago Bears 24-15 at Lincoln Financial Field on Black Friday, marking their second straight defeat.

The game began with a defensive stand by the Eagles, stopping the Bears on fourth-and-one in Philadelphia territory. Byron Young tackled DeAndre Swift near the line to gain, continuing the Eagles’ streak of eight consecutive fourth-down stops in recent weeks.

Despite this early success, Chicago scored first late in the opening quarter. Running back DeAndre Swift finished an 11-play, 78-yard drive with a three-yard touchdown run, giving the Bears a 7-0 lead.

Early in the second quarter, Philadelphia got on the board with a 44-yard field goal from Jake Elliott after a big catch-and-run by DeVonta Smith. The Bears responded later in the quarter as Cairo Santos made a 30-yard field goal following three incomplete passes forced by the Eagles defense. Before halftime, Jalen Carter sacked Bears quarterback Caleb Williams to force a punt.

In the third quarter, A.J. Brown caught a 33-yard touchdown pass from Jalen Hurts after Philadelphia moved downfield quickly. However, Jake Elliott missed the extra point attempt and Chicago stayed ahead at 10-9. Soon after, Jalyx Hunt intercepted a pass at the line of scrimmage for his second pick of the season and returned it 15 yards to set up Philadelphia in Bears territory.

Chicago extended its lead in the fourth quarter with two touchdowns: Kyle Monangai ran four yards for one score following an Eagles fumble during a “Tush Push” play; later, Cole Kmet caught a 28-yard touchdown pass to make it 24-9. The Eagles answered late when A.J. Brown hauled in another touchdown pass but failed on their two-point conversion attempt.

After this loss at home, Philadelphia will have some extra rest before traveling to face the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football December 8 at 8:15 PM EST.
