Frank Parker, an HR Coordinator at Temple University Hospital – Main Campus, has been named the Service Excellence Employee of the Month. The recognition comes as the hospital prepares to relocate all childbirth services to a new facility starting September 3.
Parker was commended for his dedication and positive approach in his role. According to a nomination excerpt, “When I worked with Frank in the Recruiting Department, he was so kind and helpful to me—but it turns out he’s like that with everyone! I saw him assist new hires when they needed extra help with the onboarding process, and he was always very considerate and patient.”
His responsibilities include assisting employees with onboarding, managing badge distribution for staff across the hospital, and handling calls, deliveries, and visitors for Human Resources. The nomination further states: “Frank makes every employee interaction exceptional. He sets a great example for the entire hospital, since he meets so many people. Not only does he work with HR staff in the Recruiting Center, but he’s also responsible for getting employees from across the hospital new or replacement badges. He also handles all incoming calls, deliveries, and visitors to HR. He helps everyone, and we couldn’t have a better person doing this work because of how well he engages with people. The way he stays calm under pressure is truly impressive. It can get very busy, but Frank handles it with aplomb. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about his work and colleagues, and that makes a significant impact on us.”
The nomination highlights Parker’s ability to foster a supportive environment: “Frank goes above and beyond to serve our employees, support his Temple colleagues, and foster a motivational work environment. His commitment to excellence is his innate talent. We deeply appreciate what Frank does for our team and employees throughout the hospital.”
Wendy Gable, Vice President of Talent Management at Temple University Hospital – Main Campus, expressed strong support for Parker’s recognition: “Wendy Gable, Vice President of Talent Management, thinks Frank should be Employee of the Year, and I agree! Never once have I heard a negative comment about him, and it is with great pleasure that I submit this nomination.”
The announcement comes as Temple University Hospital – Main Campus will end Labor and Delivery services at its Broad and Ontario Streets location beginning September 3.
