Gregory Davis, President and Chief Investment Officer of The Vanguard Group, has been appointed Chair of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s (CHOP) Board of Trustees. His appointment became effective on July 1, 2025. Davis joined CHOP’s Board in 2018 and served as Vice Chair for five years.

In his role at Vanguard, Davis is responsible for overseeing the firm’s investment management and enterprise risk management. He is also a member of Vanguard’s Board of Directors.

Davis previously held the position of Principal and Global Head of Vanguard Fixed Income Group, where he managed portfolio strategy, credit research, trading, and planning functions. He also served as Asia-Pacific Chief Investment Officer for Vanguard and was a Director at Vanguard Investments Australia. His other roles include being part of the Board of Governors at the Investment Company Institute and a member of the Investor Advisory Committee on Financial Markets for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. From 2016 to 2024, he was involved with the Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee under the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Davis completed his undergraduate studies in Insurance at The Pennsylvania State University and earned an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is affiliated with the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
