Hospital week celebrates talents of healthcare workers across campuses

Nurses and Hospital Week 2025 has concluded, leaving behind a trail of excitement and celebration within the Health System. The event featured various contests, including talent shows and basket raffles, with numerous employees taking home top prizes.

At TUH-Main Campus, Tracey Hamlette, RN, emerged as the winner of “Temple’s Got Talent,” while Eric Davis, an Operating Room Attendant, was the runner-up. Various themed baskets were also raffled off, with winners such as Victoria Staub, RN (Eagles Basket), Danielle Matheny, RN (Fire and Ice Basket), and Patrick Blatcher (Self Care Basket).

The TUH-Episcopal Campus saw Nadine Ortiz winning “Temple’s Got Talent,” with Joseph Canning as the runner-up. The campus also hosted contests like the Episcopal Spirit Award won by Joan Schiavo and Alexandria Thomas-Muhammad as runner-up. Other activities included a 50/50 raffle won by Yvette Valiente and a Ping Pong contest won by Troy Jackson.

At TUH-Jeanes Campus, several staff members were recognized for their excellence in nursing and hospital services. Notable awardees included Melanie Hanlon, RN; Jennifer Costello; Matthew Rodriguez; Sini Samuel; Constance Schuler; Michelle Bangs; Sheena McCoy; Leah Moran; Daneen Bettner; Larissa Ryan; Terrelda Jones; Steven Alfano; Calli McCormick; Natalie Caputo; Lisa Hernandez; Brianna Black; Nicole Harmon; Matthew Swing.

Scholarships were awarded to individuals such as Benjamin Arias (Pharmacy Intern) and Vanniyah Curtis (Phlebotomist). Additional recipients included Djoulissa Dorce, Laura Getselman, Gemia Gibson, Miaofang Li, Xelanys Morales Villanueva, Pamela Nunez de Tribett, Amarna Montouth, Antonia Debellote.

Temple Women & Families’ “Temple’s Got Talent” was won by Tania Salaneck and Jaime Bartolome. Joseph Wetterling was named runner-up.

Fox Chase Cancer Center hosted Music Bingo with winners Lianne Doyle (RN) and Thomas Sprankle (Systems Administrator). Other winners included Allison M. Jurec (Adv Nurse III), Kelly Garrigan (RN), and Cierra DeNofa (Clinical Research Coordinator).
