On Sunday, April 13, former Springside Chestnut Hill Academy standout Jakob Runkel’s current college team, the Grinnell Pioneers, lost 5-3 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Lawrence Vikings.

The game took place at Whiting Field. This was their third matchup against the Vikings this season.

The Pioneers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 18 at 1 p.m. at The Ballpark at Strong Stadium against Beloit Buccaneers.
