After the American League tied the All-Star Game in the ninth inning, the National League emerged victorious by out-homering their opponents 4-3. This win was largely due to an outstanding performance by Phillies player Kyle Schwarber, who was awarded the Ted Williams All-Star Game Most Valuable Player Award presented by Chevrolet.
Schwarber made a significant impact by hitting home runs on all three of his swings, securing a decisive victory for the National League. His impressive hits measured 428 feet, 461 feet, and 382 feet, giving his team a one-home-run advantage before the final round. The American League’s Jonathan Aranda was unable to hit a home run, leaving Pete Alonso waiting for his turn.
“It was awesome,” Schwarber said. “The guys were really into it. They were yelling, screaming, cheering me on every swing. And then when that last one goes over, they were all pumped. It was a lot of fun.”
