Phillies pitcher Jesús Luzardo delivered a strong performance on Tuesday night, helping his team secure a 6-3 win over the Chicago White Sox at Rate Field. Luzardo pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing only two hits and one walk. He also committed an error and struck out four batters.

This outing marked the second time in his last six starts that Luzardo has thrown more than five innings. The Phillies are looking for consistency from him as they approach the final two months of the regular season, with potential postseason plans that could include a move to the bullpen.

After recent struggles pitching out of the stretch, Luzardo commented on his approach: “Don’t let anybody reach base.”

The Phillies’ victory over the White Sox gives them momentum as they continue their push toward the playoffs.
