Medical students engaged after meeting in anatomy lab start residencies in Los Angeles

Nicki Karimi-Mostowfi and Daniel Kotas, both medical students at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, have shared their story with The Temple News. The couple met during their time in medical school and are now engaged to be married. They are set to graduate in May and have matched to residencies in Los Angeles following graduation.

Nicki has secured a residency in neurology, while Daniel will pursue internal medicine. Their wedding is planned for 2026 in Los Angeles.

The Temple News also included insights from Alex Iancu, a friend of Nicki’s and a fellow fourth-year student at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine.
