It was an eventful night in Minor League Baseball, showcasing strong performances from several top prospects. Among the highlights were Lazaro Montes’ first Double-A home run, Robby Snelling’s impressive pitching performance, and Kala’i Rosario hitting for the cycle with six RBIs.
Leo De Vries of Fort Wayne is showing signs of improvement after a slump. The 18-year-old shortstop had his third multihit game in four outings, including two doubles and a single. Despite recent struggles, De Vries maintains a .753 OPS in High-A.
Kevin McGonigle of West Michigan bounced back after ending a 10-game hitting streak. He hit his sixth home run and matched a season-high with four RBIs. McGonigle has been consistent this season with a .387/.476/.717 slash line.
Lazaro Montes started strong for Double-A Arkansas following his promotion. In his second game, he recorded his first two hits at this level, including a homer and double. Previously, he excelled in High-A with 18 homers and 53 RBIs.
Justin Crawford nearly completed the cycle for Triple-A Lehigh Valley but missed out on a triple. Despite being sidelined by an injury earlier this month, Crawford ranks second in the International League with a .336 average.
Trey Yesavage delivered an outstanding performance for New Hampshire by allowing only one hit over five scoreless innings while striking out eight batters. This lowered his ERA to 2.45 across three Minor League levels.
Robby Snelling continued his strong form for Pensacola with seven scoreless innings and no walks. His ERA dropped to 3.74 as he maintained consistency throughout June.
C.J. Kayfus hit grand slams in consecutive games for Columbus despite facing challenges this month. He maintains solid overall stats with a .322 batting average and .983 OPS.
Cam Schlittler impressed for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre by pitching six scoreless innings and matching his career high of nine strikeouts, reducing his ERA to 1.69 since joining Triple-A.
Trevor Harrison had an exceptional outing for Charleston by pitching six hitless innings while equaling his career high of eight strikeouts.
Kala’i Rosario extended his hitting streak to seven games by hitting for the cycle and driving in six runs for Wichita. His performance has improved significantly during June.
These performances reflect the depth of talent within Minor League Baseball as players continue to develop their skills across various levels.
