Stillwater High School’s Ethan Holliday continues to lead the MLB Pipeline’s expanded Draft Top 250 Prospects list, largely due to his status as the top power hitter available. Corona High School’s Seth Hernandez is also a standout, recognized by scouts as one of the best prep pitching prospects in recent years with impressive skills in fastball, curveball, changeup, and control.
The updated rankings highlight several top prospects. The top ten includes: Ethan Holliday from Stillwater High School; Kade Anderson from Louisiana State; Seth Hernandez from Corona High School; Jamie Arnold from Florida State; Eli Willits from Fort Cobb-Broxton High School; Aiva Arquette from Oregon State; Billy Carlson from Corona High School; Liam Doyle from Tennessee; JoJo Parker from Purvis High School; and Kyson Witherspoon from Oklahoma.
Ike Irish of Auburn is identified as the best hitter with a 60 grade. He has been improving on Draft boards thanks to his .364/.469/.710 performance with 19 home runs and a 14 percent strikeout rate this spring. Other hitters in contention include Caden Bodine of Coastal Carolina and Gavin Kilen of Tennessee.
Ethan Holliday also leads for power hitting with a 65 grade, showing potential for 40-homer seasons. Jace LaViolette of Texas A&M and Jared Jones of Louisiana State are other notable power hitters.
Jake Cook from Southern Mississippi is acknowledged as the fastest runner with an 80 grade for speed, having recorded remarkable sprint times at the Draft Combine. Steele Hall and John Steutzer are also mentioned for their speed.
Billy Carlson holds recognition for both strongest arm (65 grade) and best defender (70 grade). His abilities at shortstop make him a standout defensive player. Cam Cannarella of Clemson and Marek Houston of Wake Forest are also noted for their defensive skills.
