The 26th All-Star Futures Game is set to take place at Truist Park in Atlanta on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET. The event will feature 50 of the top baseball prospects, with 33 appearing on MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 prospects list. Jonathan Mayo described it as “a video game where you put all the best prospects in the game on the field together and see what happens.”

The game will be broadcast live on MLB Network and simulcast on MLB.TV, MLB.com, and via the MLB app. Commentary will be provided by Mayo, Melanie Newman, Yonder Alonso, and Sande Charles.

For the fifth consecutive year, the format will pit American League against National League over seven innings. An eighth inning will occur if tied after seven; otherwise, a tie ends the game. The ABS Challenge System allows each team two challenges.

This year’s roster includes nine first-round picks from the 2024 Draft. Charlie Condon was selected third overall while Max Clark represents last year’s highest pick for AL.

Pitchers Welinton Herrera (COL No. 20) and Keagan Gillies have notably low ERAs entering this contest—0.74 and 1.11 respectively across multiple Minor levels.

Among top prospects are Leo De Vries (Padres), Sebastian Walcott (Rangers), Kevin McGonigle (Tigers), Jesús Made (Brewers), Max Clark (Tigers), Konnor Griffin (Pirates), Noah Schultz (White Sox), JJ Wetherholt (Cardinals), Charlie Condon (Rockies) & Josue De Paula (Dodgers).

Former Major Leaguers from host city Atlanta join as coaches: Chipper Jones leads NL staff including Mark DeRosa & Andruw Jones among others; Marquis Grissom heads AL team featuring Jerry Manuel & Fred McGriff plus others.

Futures Game alumni often succeed professionally: nearly 87% play at least one Major League match while over one-fifth become All-Stars pre-2025—notables include Miguel Cabrera (’01/’02) through Dylan Crews (’24).

Several attendees come via programs like States Play or DREAM Series—Marquis Grissom Jr., LuJames Groover et al.—highlighting development initiatives aimed at fostering young talent within diverse communities nationwide.
