New diabetes program GEM focuses on individualized food management

Researchers have introduced a new treatment program for type 2 diabetes named GEM. This program provides an individualized approach, identifying specific foods that significantly increase blood sugar levels, allowing patients to focus on reducing these foods without following a strict diet.

Dr. Ajaykumar D. Rao, Chief of the Section of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, shared insights with HealthCentral regarding the potential impact of this program on diabetes treatment.

Beginning July 22 at 8:00 AM, Temple University Hospital – Main Campus will cease Labor and Delivery services. These services will be moved to a new hospital location.
