The University of Pennsylvania’s men’s lacrosse team has been recognized for its academic achievements. Emmet Carroll, a graduate and player on the team, was named a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Scholar All-American for the second consecutive year. The team also received the USILA Team Academic Award for the 2025 season.
The USILA awards teams with GPAs of 3.0 or higher and individuals with cumulative GPAs above 3.0.
Carroll, who concentrated in Management at Wharton, was honored as an honorable mention All-Ivy this season and was selected as the 20th overall pick by the Maryland Whipsnakes in the Premier Lacrosse League Draft after the season ended. In 2024, he earned consensus second-team All-America honors from USILA, Inside Lacrosse, and USA Lacrosse Magazine. He was also a first-team All-Ivy selection and an All-ECAC player. This latest USILA award adds to Carroll’s list of academic accolades this season, including being named Academic All-Ivy for his program and voted Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area.
Carroll is among 122 Division I men’s lacrosse players who have been included in the USILA Scholar All-America list.
