The competition is expected to draw more than 20,000 athletes over three days. The schedule includes a range of events for both men and women, with Penn athletes set to compete in sprints, hurdles, distance races, jumps, throws, relays, and steeplechase championships.
On Thursday’s opening day, Penn athletes such as Ella Neskora and Alexa Dochat will take part in the college women’s hammer throw. Other highlights include entries in the men’s and women’s 400-meter hurdles championships featuring Cade Swart for the men and Ava Nebel among others for the women. Distance events like the men’s and women’s 1500 meters championship will see multiple Quakers competing.
Friday’s schedule includes high jumpers Mark Hellwig and Oliver Hassard representing Penn in the college men’s high jump event. Additional field events feature Leo Francis in long jump and Evangeline Thomson in pole vault. Relay teams are also set to compete throughout Friday afternoon.
Saturday features finals across several disciplines including discus throw championships with Angeludi Asaah on the women’s side and Kai Deines for men. Kampton Kam is entered in the men’s high jump championship while Jessica Oji competes in shot put.
