The University of Pennsylvania women’s basketball team is set to play its final game of the 2025-26 season against Brown University on Saturday at the Palestra in Philadelphia. Both teams enter the matchup with identical overall records of 16-9, but Brown holds a slight edge in Ivy League play at 8-5 compared to Penn’s 6-6.

This meeting marks the 97th contest between the Quakers and Bears, with Penn leading the all-time series 57-39. In recent seasons, these two teams have split their regular-season matchups each year, with home teams winning every time over the last eight meetings.

Saturday’s game will also serve as Senior Day for Penn. The program will honor seniors Saniah Caldwell, Simone Sawyer, Georgia Heine, and student managers Darren Mason and Jai Smith before tip-off.

Penn is coming off a win against Dartmouth where Simone Sawyer led all scorers with 23 points. Tina Njike achieved a career-high with 19 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Gayle (16) and Collins (15) also reached double figures in scoring for Penn. The team shot 58 percent from the field and secured a rebound advantage of 34-25.

Statistically this season, Penn ranks second among Ivy League programs in assist/turnover ratio at 1.03 and leads the league in three-pointers made per game (7.1).
