The Philadelphia Phillies are preparing to host the 2026 MLB All-Star Game and will mark the occasion with a special event on July 18. The festivities, named “Philadelphia’s 2026 All-Star Declaration,” will kick off at noon at Dilworth Park, located at City Hall.
“The free event will be bookended by performances by Philadelphia’s own Grammy Award-winning band The Roots,” according to the announcement. Fans can also look forward to an All-Star Walk featuring former Phillies stars like Larry Bowa, Dave Cash, Greg Luzinski, and Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt. Other notable participants include Bobby Abreu, Ryan Howard, Cole Hamels, John Kruk, Charlie Manuel, and Juan Samuel.
Tom McCarthy and Dan Baker will emcee the event. The Phillie Phanatic and guest speakers from the team and city will also make appearances. Commemorative rally towels will be available while supplies last.
The event includes the arrival of Philadelphia’s 2026 All-Star Declaration Bus for fan photos. Later in the day, the bus will tour Philadelphia with stops at key landmarks such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Independence Mall, Betsy Ross House, and Citizens Bank Park before that night’s game against the Angels.
A pregame ceremony at Citizens Bank Park will feature an appearance by Phillies legends and an entry by the U.S. Navy Leap Frog parachute team. Commemorative merchandise will be available starting at 12:30 p.m.
This event is part of preparations for next year’s MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard. It marks Philadelphia’s fifth time hosting but its first at Citizens Bank Park since it became home to the Phillies in 2004. Next year also coincides with America’s 250th anniversary of independence.
