Aidan Miller, the Philadelphia Phillies’ No. 2 prospect and ranked No. 48 overall by MLB, recorded his first professional multihomer game for Double-A Reading. The 21-year-old shortstop had three hits, including two home runs and three RBIs, continuing a strong August performance. Over his last six games, Miller has gone 12-for-27 with seven extra-base hits and seven RBIs.
The night in Minor League Baseball featured several standout performances from top prospects across various organizations. Eli Willits, this year’s No. 1 overall Draft pick for the Washington Nationals, made his professional debut for Single-A Fredericksburg by collecting three singles, two RBIs, a run scored, a walk, and a stolen base.
Konnor Griffin of the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates) maintained his offensive momentum with three singles and an RBI in Double-A action. Griffin is hitting .331 with 41 extra-base hits and 60 stolen bases across three minor league levels this season.
Bryce Eldridge of Triple-A Sacramento (San Francisco Giants) hit his 14th home run at that level and has totaled 21 homers this year between two teams.
Travis Bazzana of Triple-A Columbus (Cleveland Guardians), despite missing time due to injury earlier in the season, reached base four times with two singles and two walks.
Charlie Condon of Double-A Hartford (Colorado Rockies) also achieved his first multihomer game as a professional player. He hit a two-run homer and a solo shot to raise his OPS to .839 after struggling at the plate in July but rebounding strongly in August.
Ryan Waldschmidt of Double-A Amarillo (Arizona Diamondbacks) continued a hot streak with four hits on the night; he is batting .541 over the past ten days.
Alfredo Duno of Single-A Daytona (Cincinnati Reds) extended his hitting streak to ten games while homering for the second straight contest.
Robby Snelling of Triple-A Jacksonville (Miami Marlins) pitched six scoreless innings with eight strikeouts to extend his streak without allowing an earned run to 21 consecutive innings since joining Jacksonville on July 10.
Caden Scarborough of High-A Hub City (Texas Rangers) struck out nine batters over five scoreless innings during his High-A debut and has not allowed an earned run in his last 17 innings pitched.
