With fewer than 50 days remaining in the Major League Baseball regular season, predictions for the 2025 All-MLB Team have been released. The All-MLB Team, presented by MGM Rewards, honors top players at each position based on their performance so far and expectations for the remainder of the season. MLB.com experts voted on selections for both First and Second teams.
At catcher, Cal Raleigh of the Seattle Mariners leads with 47 home runs and a .958 OPS, putting him in contention for American League MVP. Will Smith from the Los Angeles Dodgers is named to the Second team after posting a .916 OPS and showing improvement from previous seasons.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Toronto Blue Jays headlines first base selections with an .898 OPS and 21 home runs following his recent contract extension. Pete Alonso (New York Mets) takes Second team honors with an .871 OPS and 28 home runs.
Ketel Marte (Arizona Diamondbacks) is recognized as First team second baseman after hitting .952 OPS despite missing time due to injury. Brice Turang (Milwaukee Brewers) makes the Second team after improving his offensive output compared to last year.
Third base selections include José Ramírez (Cleveland Guardians), who has contributed 25 home runs and 35 stolen bases this season, while Manny Machado (San Diego Padres) is noted for his consistent offensive production.
Shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. (Kansas City Royals) continues to perform at an elite level with an .840 OPS, while Jeremy Peña (Houston Astros) earns recognition for a breakout season that includes a career-high .855 OPS.
The outfield First team consists of Aaron Judge (New York Yankees), Pete Crow-Armstrong (Chicago Cubs), and Fernando Tatis Jr. (San Diego Padres). Judge leads all hitters in batting average (.333), on-base percentage (.447), slugging percentage (.687), and WAR. Juan Soto (Mets), Corbin Carroll (Diamondbacks), and Byron Buxton (Minnesota Twins) are selected for the Second team.
Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers leads designated hitters with 43 home runs this year, while Kyle Schwarber of the Philadelphia Phillies has hit 43 homers as well, tracking toward his first-ever 50-homer season as he approaches free agency.
Starting pitchers named to the First team include Tarik Skubal (Detroit Tigers), Paul Skenes (Pittsburgh Pirates), Garrett Crochet (Boston Red Sox), Cristopher Sánchez (Philadelphia Phillies), and Hunter Brown (Houston Astros). Zack Wheeler also represents Philadelphia on the Second team but recently underwent a procedure to remove a blood clot in his upper right extremity; there is no timeline yet for his return.
Among relievers, Andrés Muñoz of Seattle is highlighted alongside Jhoan Duran, who joined Philadelphia at the trade deadline and has not allowed a run in six appearances since joining the Phillies’ bullpen. Aroldis Chapman appears on Boston’s roster with Edwin Díaz representing New York Mets among Second team relievers.
Other notable mentions include Trea Turner receiving votes at shortstop for Philadelphia; Cristopher Sánchez standing out in ERA rankings; Zack Wheeler’s ongoing health situation affecting Philadelphia’s rotation; Kyle Schwarber’s strong power numbers; relief pitcher Jhoan Duran making immediate impact since being traded to Philadelphia; and several other Phillies players factoring into voting across positions.
