Bubba Chandler of Triple-A Indianapolis extended his scoreless streak to 14 1/3 innings. The right-hander struck out seven batters and hit a top speed of 100.2 mph. His ERA is now at 2.82 after 18 starts this season.
Colt Emerson continued his strong performance for High-A Everett with a three-hit night, including his eighth home run of the season. Emerson’s batting average has improved significantly since June.
Owen Caissie maintained his powerful hitting for Iowa, achieving his seventh home run in eight games this month. His performance in July has been exceptional with multiple multihomer games.
Mick Abel had a successful first start for Triple-A Lehigh Valley after spending time in the Majors. He pitched 5 2/3 hitless innings before allowing a single and completed six scoreless frames overall.
Kaelen Culpepper continued to excel since being promoted to Double-A Wichita, extending his hitting streak to eight games with a three-hit night that included a home run.
Brandon Sproat’s performance for Triple-A Syracuse was noteworthy as he completed his third consecutive scoreless start over 18 innings. His ERA has improved from 6.69 to 4.61 over recent outings.
Kendry Rojas matched a career high with ten strikeouts during five scoreless innings for Double-A New Hampshire in only his second start at this level after recovering from an injury earlier this season.
Daniel Eagen impressed for High-A Hillsboro by pitching six hitless innings and striking out six batters during his latest outing.
The performances highlight some of the promising talent within the Minor Leagues as these players continue their development towards potential Major League careers.
