The Public Health Communications Collaborative (PHCC) is actively producing resources to support public health communication efforts. Recently, the organization developed materials on whooping cough and measles. These infographics and toolkits are designed to inform patients and families about these infections, including what actions to take if exposed or sick and potential treatments. Another handout addresses misconceptions about Vitamin A and clarifies the differences between MMR and MMRV vaccines.
The PHCC also hosted a webinar titled “Comms Crash Course: Podcasting to Amplify Public Health Messages.” This session was aimed at those interested in starting a podcast, offering insights from successful communicators along with tips on production tools. The webinar is available online for anyone seeking recommendations on science, health, mental health, comedy podcasts, and more.
Additionally, the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) at the University of Minnesota has launched the Vaccine Integrity Project. This initiative focuses on safeguarding vaccine use in the U.S., engaging stakeholders across the immunization landscape. The project has already facilitated discussions within the vaccine and public health sectors while authoring viewpoints on recent developments like COVID-19 vaccine recommendations.
