Seven members of the University of Pennsylvania swimming and diving team were selected for the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, according to an April 7 announcement. The honorees include Watson Nguyen, Peter Whittington, and Alex Fu from the men’s team, as well as Sydney Bergstrom, Sadie Howard, Anna Moehn, and Amy Qin from the women’s team.

This recognition highlights academic achievement among student-athletes in collegiate sports. The selections underscore both athletic performance and academic dedication within Penn’s swimming and diving program.

Nguyen, Whittington, Moehn, and Bergstrom competed at this year’s NCAA Championships for Penn. Bergstrom and Moehn made history by becoming only the third and fourth women in program history to receive Second Team All-American honors after finishing 12th and 16th respectively at the NCAA Championships.

Moehn, Bergstrom, Howard, Nguyen, and Whittington have advanced as finalists for CSC Academic All-America status. These five will be considered on a national ballot with winners announced on April 28-29.
