Jefferson Frankford Hospital issued the following announcement on Sept. 4.
September is Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Awareness Month. This month, healthcare professionals across the United States are raising awareness of PAD and early detection with one simple tool: a white sock. The white sock symbolizes the many patients with late-stage PAD who received an amputation due to delayed treatment.
