JEFFERSON FRANKFORD HOSPITAL: Wawa Broke Ground On Its First-Ever Freestanding Drive-Through Store In Lower Bucks County

Jefferson Frankford Hospital issued the following announcement on Sept. 17.

On Tuesday, September 15, Wawa broke ground on its first-ever freestanding drive-through store in Lower Bucks County. Local officials kicked off construction with a ceremony in Falls Township. The Wawa will offer only drive-through service and curbside pickup.

As part of Tuesday’s ceremonies, two grants were given to local food banks. Wawa also distributed bagged lunches to everyday heroes, healthcare workers, including representatives from Jefferson Bucks and Torresdale Hospitals. 

Among those in attendance were representatives from our hospitals: Joseph Shimp, MBA, BSN, BS, RN, NE-BC, Nurse Manager 2 North at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital; Susan Sawyer, BSN, RN, CEN, NE-BC, Nurse Manager, Emergency Department, Jefferson Bucks Hospital; and Veena Samuel, Radiology Manager at Jefferson Bucks Hospital.
