County of Montgomery issued the following announcement on Sept. 24.
The Montgomery County Office of Public Health announced today it is now scheduling booster shots for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine following FDA and CDC approval. People who are at highest risk for COVID-19 can now receive a Pfizer COVID-19 booster shot to help increase their protection. This includes:
- People 65 years and older and residents in long-term care settings should receive a booster shot of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after receiving the second dose of Pfizer vaccine,
- People ages 50–64 years with underlying medical conditions should receive a booster shot of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after receiving the second dose of Pfizer vaccine,
- People ages 18–49 years with underlying medical conditions may receive a booster shot of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after receiving the second dose of Pfizer vaccine, based on their individual benefits and risks, and
- People ages 18-64 years who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting may receive a booster shot of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after receiving the second dose of Pfizer vaccine, based on their individual benefits and risks.
Appointments begin Monday, September 27 and can be made by visiting www.montcopa.org/COVID-19Vaccine. There is not cost to receive the vaccine.
The County operates four COVID-19 vaccine clinics at the following locations:

- Thursdays 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

- Thursdays 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- King of Prussia Mall at the Court (Third Floor, former Thomasville Furniture) 640 W. Dekalb Pike, Suite 3010, King of Prussia, PA 19406
- Mondays 11:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Wednesdays 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Fridays 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Residents attending a County-run clinic for a booster dose of Pfizer must bring their CDC vaccination card or a picture of their card on their phone. If they have lost their vaccination card, they should call one of our three health centers for assistance:

The County continues to offer a third dose of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for immunocompromised individuals. For a list of qualifying conditions, click here. Immunocompromised individuals will need to sign a self-attestation form to receive a third shot.
