Arcadia University Athletics issued the following announcement on May 23.

The No. 5/6 Arcadia University baseball team fell by a 4-1 final after the continuation of its NCAA Division III Regional Championship to No. 16/17 Oswego State at Skip Wilson Field on Monday morning.

The Knights conclude their historic season with a 40-9 record, the most in program history.

Pitching was on display on Monday, as both Carson Denham and Oswego's Anthony Van Fossen traded zeros across the scoreboard, with Van Fossen pitching five hitless innings while Denham allowed five hits across four innings while working out of trouble every time the Lakers threatened more runs, striking out five batters with no walks.

The offense was unable to get much going, getting a runner in scoring position in the fifth and again in the seventh.

Alex Madera set a new program record for hits in a season, finishing the year with 83, besting the previous record of 80 set by Bryan Gillen '19 in 2018.
