Men's Volleyball Sweeps Conference Tri-Match

The Arcadia University men's volleyball team swept its Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) doubleheader on Saturday, defeating Stevenson University 3-1 before taking down Eastern University 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
ARCADIA 3, STEVENSON 1 (25-23, 30-28, 22-25, 25-22)
-Arcadia jumped out in set one to a 3-0 lead on two kills from Ryan Miller and one from Andrew Ahn.

-The Knights never trailed taking set one 25-23.

-Stevenson led 20-14 in set two before Arcadia went on a 10-4 run to tie the match at 24. The two teams traded points until an Owen Heft kill and a block by Vaughn McConnell and Kevin Abraham gave the Knights a 30-28 victory and a 2-0 lead.

-Set three was knotted at 16 before a 4-0 run put the Mustangs in the drivers seat en route to a 25-22 defeat for Arcadia.

-The Knights led 6-3 but a 5-0 streak from Stevenson had Arcadia facing an early 8-6 deficit in set four.

-The count was square at 10 before a 7-1 run gave the Knights a 17-11 lead.

-Arcadia took set four 25-22 to secure the 3-1 match victory.

ARCADIA 3, EASTERN 0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-19)
-Eastern jumped out to a 5-0 lead in set one forcing the Knights into an early timeout.

-Arcadia responded with a 9-3 run to take its first lead.

-From there, the Knights outscored their opponent 16-7 to take set one 25-15.

-With set two tied at 15 Arcadia took control with a 10-5 streak to take set two 25-20 and a commanding 2-0 match lead.

-The Eagles opened set three with a 4-1 lead.

-Trailing 17-12 after five-straight points went to Eastern, the Knights stormed back with a 13-2 run to finish off set three 25-19 and take the match 3-0.
