Congressman Dwight Evans, representing Pennsylvania's 3rd district, has taken to social media to discuss several issues of public interest. In a series of tweets, he addresses tax credits available to Philadelphians, the current state of federal tax filing options, and his concerns regarding recent administrative decisions.

On February 4, 2025, Congressman Evans highlighted the importance of claiming available tax credits. He stated: "Don't leave up to $7,830 on the table this tax filing season! Each year an estimated 40,000 eligible Philadelphians don’t claim their Earned Income Tax Credit. And the Child Tax Credit provides up to $2,000 per child." He urged constituents to visit a provided link for more information.

The following day, February 5, 2025, Evans commented on the Direct File system for federal taxes. He noted: "As of this writing, Direct File is open, allowing Pennsylvanians to file federal taxes directly with the IRS for FREE at https://t.co/JgB1QC1S3B But it's under attack by the Musk-Trump Admin because their wealthy donors are losing money." Evans expressed concern over what he perceives as opposition from influential figures.

In another tweet on February 6, 2025, Evans criticized actions by the current administration concerning international aid and security. He tweeted: "By closing USAID, Trump is becoming the president China always wanted. One thing is clear: the Musk-Trump Administration isn't interested in protecting the security of the American people." This statement reflects his apprehension about national security priorities.
