Congressman Dwight Evans, representing Pennsylvania’s 3rd district, has taken to social media to express his concerns regarding various political issues. His recent tweets cover topics from government accountability to economic promises and partisan challenges.

On February 12, 2025, Congressman Evans raised concerns about the concentration of power among wealthy individuals. He tweeted: "Granting an unelected, unaccountable billionaire donor unchecked power over hard-working American taxpayers’ personal data and their EARNED benefits is not transparent. Period."

Continuing his critique on February 13, 2025, he addressed actions by the Republican Party. He stated: "While Republicans are illegally dismantling programs & services hard-working Americans rely on, there are only 30 days until a government shutdown. The House GOP may be too scared to stand up to President Musk, but House Democrats are fighting to protect our constituents." This tweet highlights the impending risk of a government shutdown and accuses the GOP of failing to oppose President Musk.

Later that day, Evans commented on economic promises made by political figures with a hint of skepticism. He tweeted: "Wait- didn’t someone promise that prices would go down on day one? #Trumpflation" This message questions the fulfillment of past economic assurances.
