The Philadelphia Phillies secured a victory against the Miami Marlins with a standout performance from Bryson Stott. Despite hyperextending his right elbow earlier in the week, Stott returned to the lineup and played a crucial role in Wednesday night’s game at loanDepot Park.
Stott’s contribution came with a three-run home run that gave the Phillies a four-run lead in the fourth inning. He finished the game going 2-for-3, including a walk and a stolen base. This performance was pivotal in the Phillies’ 4-2 win over Miami.
Pitcher Ranger Suárez also made significant contributions on the mound. The Venezuelan pitcher delivered seven innings of one-run baseball, earning his sixth win of the season out of nine starts. Suárez allowed only four hits, including a solo home run, walked two batters, and struck out eight.
The victory marked the third win for Philadelphia in their four-game series against Miami.
