East Norriton, PA – Suburban Community Hospital recently celebrated the graduation of its Class of 2025 resident physicians. The ceremony took place at the Bluestone Country Club in Blue Bell, PA, marking the completion of three years of training for thirteen physicians.

The event featured speeches from Michael Motte, CEO of Suburban Community Hospital and Lower Bucks Hospital, and Shawn Parekh, CEO of Roxborough Memorial Hospital. Awards were presented to recognize the graduates’ dedication to patient care. Among them were the Doctor Ernest Talone Intern of the Year Award presented by Tony and Ernie Talone, and the Resident of the Year Award given by Dr. Ashley Miller and Dr. Mathew Mathew.

Graduates are now set to begin their medical careers in various fields including family medicine and internal medicine at institutions such as Patient First in Maryland and Jefferson Health.

Michael Motte expressed his pride in participating in the ceremony, stating that “this program has been integral in reducing health disparities by increasing access to quality medical care.” Shawn Parekh also praised the graduates for their dedication during training.

The residency program offers a comprehensive learning environment with training across multiple specialties like pediatrics and cardiology. Dr. Mathew Mathew acknowledged the hard work of residents during his speech.

Suburban Community Hospital’s residency program continues under Prime Healthcare, offering tracks in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Preliminary Medicine.
