Markus Rodriguez and Sharon Jackson, both staff members in the Department of General Internal Medicine, have been recognized with the June 2025 Temple Faculty Physicians (TFP) C.A.R.E.S. Award. The award honors clinical and administrative employees who demonstrate compassion, advocacy, respect, excellence, and service.

Rodriguez works as a receptionist and scheduler while Jackson serves as a medical assistant. Both were nominated by their peers and endorsed by TFP leadership for their commitment to excellence.

Jackson was honored for her dedication to patients and colleagues. According to her nomination: “Sharon consistently demonstrates exceptional dedication and professionalism in her work. She goes above and beyond to ensure patients receive timely, compassionate care, whether by assisting them directly or navigating complex situations, such as coordinating with multiple departments to support a patient with a language barrier. A true team player, Sharon regularly offers guidance and support to colleagues, communicates clearly and directly, and approaches every task with energy, efficiency, and respect. Her commitment to both patients and her team exemplifies outstanding service and unwavering devotion to her role.”

Rodriguez was recognized for his efforts supporting patients. His nomination states: “Markus consistently demonstrates exceptional dedication to patient care, going above and beyond to anticipate and address their needs. His proactive approach, attentiveness, and commitment to providing personalized support ensure that every patient receives a compassionate and seamless experience.”

The TFP C.A.R.E.S. Award is given monthly as part of ongoing efforts by Temple Faculty Physicians to recognize staff contributions across its facilities.
