Temple University Hospital-Main Campus has been recognized as the most inclusive hospital in Pennsylvania by the Lown Hospitals Index for Social Responsibility. The recognition also includes ‘A’ grades in areas such as social responsibility, health equity, and value of care.

The Lown Institute, an independent think tank, evaluated more than 3,600 hospitals across the United States to determine these rankings. Temple University Hospital-Main Campus was also named among the top five hospitals in Pennsylvania for racial inclusivity.

Abhi Rastogi, Chief Operating Officer & Executive Vice President of Temple Health and President & CEO of Temple University Hospital Inc., commented on the achievement: “This recognition reflects our commitment to making care accessible in our communities while empowering our neighbors to take control of their health,” said Rastogi. “Temple Health is realizing a new vision for what patients should expect from healthcare.”

Recently, Labor & Delivery services were moved from Temple University Hospital–Main Campus at Broad & Ontario to a new women & families hospital.
