Beginning September 3, Temple University Hospital – Main Campus will no longer offer Labor and Delivery services at its Broad and Ontario Streets location. All childbirth services are being moved to a new hospital site.
This summer, staff at the main campus participated in the annual Dog Days of Summer event. The gathering is organized by the Office of Patient Experience and the Temple Tails program. Its goal is to connect employees with adoptable dogs from local animal rescues.
Organizations that brought dogs to this year’s event included Morris Animal Refuge, Street Tails Animal Rescue, the Pennsylvania SPCA, Philly Bully Team, Philly Rescue Angels, and ACCT Philly. Vendors such as Bully Bows, Melmos Dog Treats, and Bake My Day Cookies also took part by providing pet food and accessories.
A Temple Health team member described meeting a new dog during the event: “A Temple Health team member with a new furry friend at this year’s Dog Days of Summer event.”
The hospital encourages employees to view photos from the event featuring staff interacting with adoptable pets.
