Temple University Hospital shifts labor and delivery services to new location

Beginning September 3, Temple University Hospital – Main Campus will stop offering Labor and Delivery services. All childbirth-related care will move to a new hospital location.

Alexander Duffy, MD, Assistant Professor of Clinical Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, spoke with Peloton about why people may experience a runny nose during exercise. Dr. Duffy explained that this condition is known as exercise-induced rhinitis (EIR). He stated, “a runny nose during exercise may be caused by exercise-induced rhinitis (EIR), which is when any kind of physical activity causes a runny nose or sneezing due to physical activity, regardless of factors like air quality.”

The hospital also issued a transit alert noting that significant reductions in bus, subway, and rail service could impact travel to and from its campuses.
