Researchers at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University have developed a new mRNA-based therapy aimed at repairing heart tissue damaged by heart attacks. The therapy works by reactivating a key developmental gene that could support regeneration in cardiac tissue.

The research was led by Dr. Raj Kishore, who holds several roles including Laura H. Carnell Professor, Vera J. Goodfriend Chair in Cardiovascular Research, and Chair of Cardiovascular Sciences at Temple University. Dr. Kishore is also a member of the Aging + Cardiovascular Discovery Center.
