Blue Bell Elementary School issued the following announcement on April 6
The following is an important public service announcement to the Wissahickon community from two of our WMS students Allison Meng and Anika Rastogi, who responded to a Wiss Census Challenge for enrichment students on the Dragons Team.
As many of you know, it is Census time. There are many people who have already filled out the census but there are even more families who haven't. This is a friendly reminder that you are not only helping our school but you are also helping the community by filling out the census. It is a quick and easy thing to do and it will not take up much time. Did you know that we might lose a representative in the House of Representatives if our population is not as big as the other states? Only 50% of people in Whitpain have responded, 49% in Lower Gwynedd and there are even less people in Ambler who have responded – 39%! Let's see which township will be the first to reach the healthy zone of 86-100%! Help us make these numbers higher and make sure you are counted in the 2020 census! Remind your friends, family, and everyone else! Remember WSD, today is the opportunity to be the difference!
