Colonial States Athletic Conference issued the following announcement on Mar. 4.
Cairn University was the unaminous pick of the coaches to win the 2022 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) women’s tennis championship, according to the preseason poll released Friday afternoon.
The Highlanders, who won the title in 2019 and 2021, received 49 points and all seven first-place votes.
Cedar Crest College was second with 40 points, followed by Rosemont College in third with 24 points.
Notre Dame of Maryland University and Clarks Summit were tied for fourth with 22 points, followed by Bryn Athyn College in sixth at 20 points and Saint Elizabeth University in seventh at 19 points.
The CSAC Championship, featuring the top four teams, is set to begin on Friday, April 29, with the championship set for the following day, Saturday, April 30, at the highest remaining seed.
